GUEST REVIEWS

Tara and the staff were very accommodating and helpful. The cafe downstairs was perfect for grab and go breakfasts so we could get out and sight-see. We were so grateful to be able to stay right in the middle of downtown Newport for an affordable price!

It is a great location! You can walk to all the shops and restaurants in town. It's also within minutes drive of the beautiful ocean drive.

Beautiful room. It looked like it was recently updated and it was a very beautiful, well-decorated space. It was nice and quite, even though it was downtown.

Dear Sirs and Madams,
Recently, I was a guest in your facility while visiting Newport for the C. Thomas Clagett, Jr. Memorial Clinic & Regatta on Narragansett Bay. I would like to commend you for a beautiful renovation and excellent service. As a wheelchair user and member of the 2012 Paralympic Sailing Team Sperry Top- Sider, it is refreshing to stay in a place that is actually wheelchair accessible. My annual travel schedule takes me in many places and I am always skeptical of places labeled "accessible", At Seamen's, it shows that you took the time to accommodate people with mobility impairments. The elevator and roll-in shower are two very big additions with big impact. However, it is also the little things that make staying away from home much easier for wheelchair users. From the lowered clothing hooks to the lever door handles to the bed height, it shows that you took the time and care for these details. In addition, the staff and volunteers were always friendly and accommodating.

Thank you for being mindful of the Americans with Disabilities Act. More importantly, thank you for being mindful of true needs for people with mobility impairments. The Seaman's Church Institute is a beautiful facility with wonderful access. I look forward to being a future patron of yours. You are a gem in the heart of Newport, Rhode Island.

Best Regards-
JF, 2012 Paralympic Sailing Team Sperry Top-Sider
